An Occasional Film

Every now and then, SZJ just picks up and produces a short film. These are currently uncollected and - with the exception of "Der goldene russische Spion" - not available on DVD. They are, however, available online - for free!

Un Gravel Andalou

Democratic candidate Mike Gravel caused heads to shake everywhere with the release of the film "Rock." In it, Gravel stares into the camera for more than a minute before turning, walking back, picking up a large stone, and throwing it into a lake.

Of course, I was fascinated. I felt that the film deserved context. And so, I moved quickly to combine "Rock" with Dali and Buñuel's classic Un Chien Andalou. The result? "Un Gravel Andalou." Available on YouTube. (Note: Film contains brief violence)
